Writers for Diversity
My diversity workshops create a safe, welcoming environment where thoughtful and respectful
dialogue drives the conversation. In my signature workshop, Relatable Writing Basics,
participants gain the tools and confidence to include diverse characters and settings in their
stories.
I offer a variety of workshops on writing diversity, including character identity and
worldbuilding, as well as an author branding workshop. I am happy to tailor any of my
workshops to your group’s specific needs.
Whether you are a writer looking to expand your creative vision or an organization seeking to
foster inclusion through storytelling, my workshops offer a transformative experience with a
compassionate and empathetic approach.

Writing Diversity in Genre Fiction is based on three main anchors: Racial identity, Building Your Story with Diversity and, Avoiding Stereotypes. But, those anchors are just a starting point. The workshop often goes into exciting and unanticipated directions as engaged audiences begin raising their hands to ask questions (often question they’ve long wondered about, but never had the opportunity to ask), share their own stories and begin imagining new directions their own writing can go in with the information at hand.
